Product description Magnesium complex:
Our Magnesium Complex was specially developed for use in the context of high-dose vitamin D supplementation with a focus on maximum tolerance and best effectiveness: The forms contained are absorbed by the body at different rates and thus provide an optimal supply over a longer period of time. All forms of magnesium used provide maximum support for the enzymatic conversion of vitamin D and cell metabolism. We deliberately avoid using any fillers or additives and have our products manufactured in Germany in accordance with DIN standard ISO9001, GMP and HACCP. Optimal quality for your health, which you can rely on - from raw materials to the packaged end product.

Magnesium: useful information
Magnesium is an essential mineral that is a major part of our body tissue and all metabolic processes: Our skeleton is 60% magnesium, our muscles 30%. In addition to bone mineralisation and the transmission of stimuli from nerves and muscles, magnesium plays a significant role in all enzymatic processes in the building and breakdown metabolism [1]. A sufficiently high magnesium level in the blood and tissue is necessary for the enzymatic conversion of vitamin D and hormonal action at cell level. Magnesium deficiency is widespread as a result of reduced nutrient content of food, overboiling, chronic diseases, as well as medication, drugs, alcohol and caffeine consumption. It has been shown that the bioavailability and absorption of organic magnesium compounds is better than that of inorganic compounds in the short term [2]. However, inorganic magnesium oxide is absorbed with a time delay and has a very high proportion of elemental magnesium. It can therefore contribute very well to an optimal long-term supply of magnesium. Furthermore, each of the magnesium forms we use has a helpful individual focus of action:
Ø Magnesium citrate has been proven in scientific studies to prevent the formation of kidney stones and to prevent the calcification of blood vessels [3]. However, as it can lead to diarrhoea in sensitive intestines, we have combined other forms of magnesium.
Ø Magnesium malate plays a central role in the energy metabolism of the cell, is mainly needed for enzymatic processes in the mitochondria, and can thus contribute significantly to reducing fatigue and exhaustion [4].
Ø Magnesium (bis)glycinate is one of the best bioavailable types of magnesium, even though the elementary magnesium content is not particularly high in this chemical form. Due to the chelate form / binding to the amino acid glycine, the magnesium contained is actively channelled through the intestinal wall without irritating the sensitive mucous membranes. In studies, magnesium glycinate has been shown to have a particularly good effect on the nerves and the psyche: it can help to increase memory performance, alleviate depression, improve sleep disorders and, due to its calming effect on the nervous system, help to alleviate anxiety and panic disorders [5].
